Widener University is now in the Yellow Ribbon Program go

Widener University is now a participant in the Yellow Ribbon Program.

This is a tuition benefit program for U.S. Veterans that served their country after 9/11.  If you are a veteran and are planning on becoming a recipient of this benefit, there are a few steps that you need to take so that you can be assured of placement.  Since Widener has set a cap on the number of students it will accept into this program, you will need to go to the Widener website and fill out the required form to apply beginning July 28, 2009 at 8:00 AM.  The application form can be found at:

www.widener.edu/admissions/events/events_detail.asp?eventID=463

You will need to complete your application with the VA to make sure you are eligible for the benefit.  Once you receive the Certificate of Eligibility you will want to forward a copy to:
Widener University Enrollment Services Lipka Hall Attn: Veterans Services One University Place Chester PA 19013-5792
Additional information for Veterans attending Widener can be found at:http://www.widener.edu/sfs/veteransinfo.asp.
